The house is located in Jones Estate, an old plantation in the North West of Nevis, about 100 metres inland. The nearest beach with facilities is about a five minute walk away. The capital, Charlestown, is four miles south on the main island road.
St Kitts is the nearest island to Nevis, a short ferry ride across the Narrows, and Antigua is a 20 minute flight in a LIAT twin-engine plane.
Nevis airport is too small for large aircraft, but British Airways fly direct into St.Kitts from Gatwick on Tuesdays and Saturdays. An alternative route, almost daily, is via Antigua from Gatwick with BA or Virgin. Flight time to Antigua is 7.5 hours followed by the short hop from Antigua to Nevis.
